Multiply the original alpha, not the preview
Choose a still PNG, JPEG or WebP from your device, then enter an opacity multiplier from 0% to 100%. Every export starts from the original decoded pixels, so changing the multiplier does not repeatedly fade a previous export. Files must be no larger than 10 MiB, 12 million pixels or 10,000 pixels on either edge.
Check the export at the original dimensions
At 50%, an opaque alpha of 255 becomes 128; an existing alpha of 128 becomes 64. The export keeps its decoded dimensions. The checkerboard helps you inspect transparency and is never painted into the downloaded PNG.
Inspect the next image facts
Use the image color picker to inspect a pixel separately, and the image metadata checker to inspect the exported file facts. Neither proves a browser preserved the original color profile or metadata.
Understand browser decoding limits
Browser decoding, color conversion and PNG encoding can affect RGB values, especially at tiny or zero alpha. This is an opacity edit, not a promise to preserve source bytes, color profiles, metadata or hidden RGB. Animated files, SVG and remote image URLs are not supported.
