01

Read metadata by group

The checker separates file and pixel facts from embedded camera, capture, orientation, and GPS-directory presence.

02

Keep product photos private

The selected image is decoded and inspected inside your browser. It is not uploaded by this tool.

03

Recognize stripped metadata

A valid JPEG can contain no Exif block after editing, export, screenshotting, or marketplace processing.

04

Know what metadata cannot prove

Metadata can be absent, altered, or inaccurate. It is not proof of authorship, ownership, originality, or authenticity.

Read metadata by group

The checker separates file and pixel facts from embedded camera, capture, orientation, and GPS-directory presence.

A field marked not found was not available in the parsed JPEG Exif directory; it is not inferred from the picture.

Keep product photos private

The selected image is decoded and inspected inside your browser. It is not uploaded by this tool.

Filename, bytes, dimensions, metadata values, and coordinates are excluded from analytics; only fixed interaction states are allowed.

Recognize stripped metadata

A valid JPEG can contain no Exif block after editing, export, screenshotting, or marketplace processing.

PNG and WebP receive file and pixel facts here, while embedded Exif parsing is explicitly labeled unsupported.

Know what metadata cannot prove

Metadata can be absent, altered, or inaccurate. It is not proof of authorship, ownership, originality, or authenticity.

Location is shown only as present or not found. Raw coordinates are deliberately never displayed.

Questions, answered.

Does this image metadata checker upload my photo?

No. The browser reads the selected file locally, and the tool does not send filenames, bytes, metadata values, or coordinates to analytics.

What metadata can the checker show?

It groups available file, pixel, camera, capture, orientation, and location-presence fields and clearly labels absent or unsupported data.

Does missing Exif mean an image is fake?

No. Editing apps, exports, screenshots, and marketplaces can strip metadata, so absence does not prove anything about authenticity or ownership.
